• Great service, great people

  I have been using Westlake Garages for three years now and I have only had exceptional service. My car is collected and when done, returned ontime and everytime it is returned there is a complimentary bottle of wine for me!! I had my front wheel cap stolen on the street and Westgate replaced it free of charge. They are truely exceptional and I will definately contimue to use them.

  Sometime ago, I stopped at Westlake Garages as my Smart needed a front bulb replacement. Nothing special with that, you may say, except that with Smart cars it is an exceptionally tricky job to do - there's just no room. Mercedes wanted the car for 1/2 a day and quoted £68 (per lamp!) thank you very much ! Westlake did it for me for nothing (well I gave £10 to the mechanic who'd spent 15mn on it and that included the price of the bulb.) So I promised them taht they would look after my car from now on. Today, they did a full service -including free valeting- for £89 incl VAT, all with a smile, and (I almost forgot) including another free front bulb replacement. Thanks, you've got my customes from now on.

• Rubbish - Don't use them!

  I recently took my car to Westlake Garages after searching on Yell.com only to go through a 2 week ordeal which left me stressed and out of pocket... Westlake garages did not replace my rear coil springs correctly, missing off a vital part and damaging the bolts, leaving me with an unsafe car. They cleaned the car out and vaccumed the inside which I thought was great service until I drove my car home to hear horrific banging coming from my rear tyre. I went to a reputable garage near where I lived to get the mistake fixed. The missing parts should have been ordered when they ordered the coil springs but they didn't. I do not advise to get your car fixed at Westlake garages as even though they clean your car....they have this extra time by cutting corners on the actual mechanical work.....
