• Amazing food, lovely and mad chef, perfect atmosphere

  We stumbled across this place and had an unpredictable and brilliant evening. The chef kept bringing more and more delicious food until we were finally full and nervously asked to see the bill, which was reassuringly reasonable! This is definitely not the place for very picky eaters or people who are just looking for a quick bite to go. However if you love your food and want to spend an evening having very authentic Italian dinner with a great and a bit crazy chef/host this is the best place we know in London, other than Nonna's house!

• Sane or insane ?

  Riccardo, the owner, will decide for you,....this is the way people eat in Veneto, he is the host and you are at his home. He is a bit wild and crazy but if he cooks like that , then please this is the best not only in Richmond but in Surrey. And the atmosphere is so much like at a friend's home.This is the most authentic italian restaurant.Lovely red wine from puglia.Going back for more......

• Deeply eccentric but superb

  Yes, the chef Riccardo is mental. He is only interested in cooking superb food with what is available that day. Nobody speaks any English. You sit down and the food arrives. There are no prices on the wine list, but he will provide unlimited free extras. Everything is home made the same day. Best pasta I have ever had (black, sufffed with crab, garlic clams on the side). Place full of regulars chatting to each other. If you like Italian food, go today.

• Great food, great atmosphere

  The risotto is the best, the pasta with truffles is amazing. Good wine, great service - all at a fair price. It's like being invited into a warm Italian home where you can sit and relax and enjoy yourself. You will want to go back for more. Truly the best!

• Very good place

  I was there the same night of Charlie and i saw how the things are gone. The side wasn`t on the list and not available at that moment, but the lady pretended for it. Then they left without pay the bill. Very rude. I use to go there often and always had good food and service. The chef and staff is very friendly. The place is welcoming. Every time i go im satisfied of it. I will go soon and bring my friends.

• Mental Chef and confused Menu

  Confused set of menu with the list of the red and white wines all £25 which is so dodgy,we found there and we felt lucky until their mental chef walked out from the kitchen with his chef outfit and gave to my girlfriend a plain steak with no chips or side and when she asked him for the side he shout at her and said something in Italian, she left the place because of his shamelessly behavior and I asked the bill and left there whiles he was still shouting... We had a very bad experience out there and we never recommended there for ladies,keep away from the harmful people

  Like Matt H we found this restaurant by chance and had a fantastic experience! Wonderful food and wine and the staff were brilliant. I will be going back soon to enjoy again!

• Suberb, sumptuous Italian experience

  Hugely generous, simple yet sumptuous Italian food, fantastic wines, relaxed atmosphere, I would love to go back and would recommend to anyone for a lengthy, delicious Italian food and wine experience!
