No menu, and just asked whether we wanted red or white wine... that was the only choice. The chef is slightly bonkers but the atmosphere was great. The food was wonderful; lots of small helpings where you still leave at the end of the night feeling utterly content. I would thoroughly recommend this place. Thank you!!

I can guarantee that this is the most original place that you will eat in London (or just outside actually). Get your head around the fact that there's no menu to choose from and there's no (visible) price list and just book. You won't regret it. It's small, noisy, atmospheric - and that was on a Tuesday night - you're sitting in close proximity to your fellow diners and the food just keeps coming...and coming...and coming. My wife took me here last night for our wedding anniversary meal, she'd been before and always raved about it, and I could see why - great freshly-cooked Italian fare served by bustling attentive waiters. The charismatic owner Riccardo pulls the strings in the semi-open kitchen whilst those little plates keep coming your way. A few pieces of advice for when you do decide to eat here: book beforehand, do not under any circumstances eat anything for at least 5 hours before you arrive, do not expect to leave early (we racked up nearly 4 hours), if you can't manage the final meat course ask for a doggy bag and they make you one that looks like a fancy foil handbag. The price is a good deal considering the amount and quality of food that you get - was £40 per head + £25 for a bottle of wine. Tap water is served as standard. Everyone should experience this place at least once.
Lunch as a party of 5 - started lunch at 1pm, left at 5.30pm, basking in a warm glow. Other reviewers have described the experience - Riccardo choses the food and the wine, all done at a reasonable price in a very comfortable atmosphere - long may it last !
The food at this restaurant is truly superb. Our whole party felt we received very personal service, and really cannot even imagine what the negative reviews are referring to. There is no menu at Boccon Di'Vino, it is a very traditional Italian, and the 'mental' chef only adds to its charm! Strongly recommended :-)
I have been here on several occasions, sometimes with vegetarians, the owner was wonderful, fun, generous and utterly accommodating. the three bad reviews on this site must feel a bit strange when they look at all the five star review, perhaps they are local restauranteurs who are jealous of boccon de vinos success. The place is full every night. I have been in there to book a table for the following day and i have witnessed the preparation for that evening..everything is fresh. Go, relax, be spoilt and enjoy the wonderful cooking and great wine at a very reasonable price.
Cannot understand the people who are slating this restaurant . Anytime I have been there the food is nothing but amazing and Riccardo and his team are so welcoming and hospitipal. if you like real Italian food you could not fault this place. My friends and I think its the best in LOndon
ot somewhere you want to eat. The waiter seems as if he is doing you a favour rather than serving you. Food is just average for the price. We were 4 people but only three were able to go, the manager was outraged and started shouting at us.
Authentic - warm and ultra friendly...best food outside Italy and reminiscent of our favourite Venetian Al Campane restaurant. Wine 'of the Montepulciano region' excellent. The ultimate eat out in our estimation and you don't have to go into London!
We stumbled across this place and had an unpredictable and brilliant evening. The chef kept bringing more and more delicious food until we were finally full and nervously asked to see the bill, which was reassuringly reasonable! This is definitely not the place for very picky eaters or people who are just looking for a quick bite to go. However if you love your food and want to spend an evening having very authentic Italian dinner with a great and a bit crazy chef/host this is the best place we know in London, other than Nonna's house!
